Meeting at Barnes and Noble topics

Hello all and I hope you're having a great summer! Some of you have had questions about what was gone over at the meeting last Friday at Barnes and Noble. Here are some topics discussed:

-How is TKAM relevant to current issues?
-Who is the hero of TKAM? (There's not a "right" answer; find textual evidence from TKAM and the Foster book to prove your answer)
-What is the task in TKAM? What is the quest? How are they different?

Optional Meeting to Discuss To Kill a Mockingbird

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! Mr. Carlos Barrera and myself, Mrs. Amy Magnus, will be holding an meeting at the Starbucks on Barrett Parkway that is connected to the Barnes and Nobel. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss To Kill a Mockingbird as well as How to Read Literature Like a Professor. It is expected that you've read both texts and are ready to ask questions and participate in discussion as a group. Please come with specific questions if you are confused about anything as the Summer Reading Assignment is due August 1, 2016.

Welcome to the ISA 9th Honors Lit and Comp Blog! Come here for a recap of what is done each week, as well as a link to our Google Drive. All documents that we have electronically that are handed out in class can be found on the class Drive. Both places should be checked first before asking for additional handouts or what was missed in class in the event of an absence. We look forward to building a community online as well as in person!
